Here is a sneak peek into the fall 2013 line for the Max Love project. It was such a great time this last Sunday as so many gathered together, giving their time and talents, to make this all possible. I feel so grateful to be a part of such a special organization. So inspired by all that it is. Here is a bit from their mission statement--
Inspired by Hope + Made with Heart
Inspired by SuperMax Wilford, a six-year-old fighting brain cancer, MaxLove Project is a California-based 501c3 nonprofit organization founded to provide therapeutic resources to all SuperKids fighting cancer. MaxLove Project's mission is to directly fund comprehensive integrative care and research with the ultimate goal of supporting SuperKids in overcoming the odds—to thrive in treatment and beyond.
Be sure and head over to givemaxlove.org to learn more about this wonderful organization that supports children with childhood cancers.

this commitment is one expression of the many varieties of love. it is fitting to speak briefly about love. we live in a world of joy and fear and search for meaning and strength in the seeming disorder. we discover the truest guideline to our quest when we realize love in all its magnitudes. love is the eternal force of life. love is the force that allows us to face fear and uncertainty with courage.
[roché vermaak at dawn and emily's ceremony]
dawn and emily are huge inspirations to me. they know exactly who they are and what they want. this was one of the most beautiful and heartwarming ceremonies i have ever attended. two lovely people coming together and committing to spend the rest of their life together. i am so grateful for this experience—that they trusted me to document this special time. the reception was filled with celebration and so much love. emily and dawn—i wish you only the very best life together. i am forever changed because of you.
more from their wedding—
let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. for only the hand of life can contain your hearts. and stand together, yet not too near together: for the pillars of the temple stand apart, and the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
