I am excited to announce my personal project Love Remains will be part of the Portfolio ShowCase Volume 9, The Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO. The above two images will be displayed in gallery July 1-September 10th, 2016.
Well is it horrible that it's almost 4 months since one of our best vacations ever and I never blogged it? I think it was because I took too many photos and I couldn't narrow them down. Four months later I still have the same issue, but oh well, can't come to the end of the year and not blog them.
Four months ago I would have yammered on about how lovely it was, how amazing it was to be with my family, all day, for 9 days. How apparent it becomes when you get to spend time together, how little time we actually get to spend together back in the real world of sports and homework and long work days. I would have told you about how I actually cried when we had to leave and drove down our little road for the very last time. I would have told you all about it.
But today, a post of mostly photos will have to do. This was our summer vacation 2015.
I have decided I really like shooting seniors portraits. It's so relaxed and for the most part uncomplicated. It was such a lovely evening.
I can't believe this girl is about the graduate high school. I have known her since the day she was born. Sigh.
I went out the other night and played around a bit with these two. It wasn't quite long enough so hope to take them out again soon. Such pretty girls. x
We had such a busy summer I didn't have much time to blog. Now as my schedule gets back to normal I am working to get caught up. We spent some time the middle of June up at my parents house in the mountains. We were able to spend the day at Yosemite and then another day up at Wawona--two of my favorite places. I think our day at Wawona for my mom's birthday tops as one of our favorite days this summer. More summer posts to come....
I think the number one thing on my mind most of the time....the passing of time. I just can't get my head around how fast it goes. It seems like just yesterday I used to walk my kids around this little lake, feed the ducks and ride the paddle boats, but yet it's a lifetime ago. The other day I spent the morning with Will and his mom at the lake, it brought back so many memories, and I am happy I had the opportunity to capture a few for her.
Baby Will is growing up to be the sweetest little boy.
Slow down a little time, just a little ok?
