The Inspired Presets
The Inspired Set is simple and clean—with the prettiest tones. A beautiful and easy way to streamline your workflow—this set is all about the tone curve. A lot of my students don’t even touch the tone curve and it’s the most powerful module in Lightroom. Every single photograph needs an adjustment to the tone curve and I encourage everyone use and understand it. These presets only touch the tone curve, so use it on its own, play with it after other edits or in combo with other presets.
Six black and white presets. Six simply inspiring presets. Twelve inspiring tones.
Presets work best on RAW files, but can also be used on JPG files.
If you work in Lightroom this set is essential. See samples below.

Presets are not always a simple click of a button editing solution. Not every preset will work on every photograph. Presets are an editing method that can enhance and inspire your own personal processing. Please remember that preset settings may require basic adjustments to exposure, highlights, shadows, whites, and blacks.
*For the exercise of showing presets, the sample photographs on this page do not include any additional adjustments.
“The Inspired set is a big part of my workflow. I’m not a fan of over processing. This set adds that little extra something my images need, but still look simple, natural, and beautiful. Unlike many preset packs where I only use one of two presets in the set, I use the majority of these. It’s a wonderful set.” — Summer Murdock
Frequently Asked Questions.
-
Yes! Presets for RAW images may add too much contrast to a JPG image, adjust accordingly.

Find the preset header bar at the top of the preset module, use the + and select “import presets”. Navigate to where you stored the downloaded.zip file (you don’t have to unzip the file). After selecting the file your presets will load.
-
Yes, after selecting a Lilyblue Preset you may, and should, continue to adjust settings for each photograph--you can adjust exposure, contrast, shadows, color temperature and more. Lilyblue Presets were developed for properly exposed photographs so even after using a Lilyblue Preset you may need to adjust for exposure, shadow and brightness according to each photograph's need. Sometimes that makes all the difference.
TIP: Lilyblue Presets never adjust the photograph's temperature or exposure. Make those changes according to the photograph's need first, then click through the settings to see which works best for the particular photograph you are editing.
